Students Promoting Equality And Knowledge
An anti-hate group at Talawanda High School where students can, and will, make a difference. Our goal in S.P.E.A.K. is to educate and make people aware of the diversity all around you. Often, people fear what they do not understand, and hate what they fear. If we can educate those who fear (or even before they start to fear) I think we can eliminate prejudice. Once you learn about students of different color, of a different creed, of a different sexual orientation, or who's "different in any way", they become not so different. You start to see them for who they are.
