A short definition of Wicca, to me, would be: the religion of nature and her cycles, learning how to work with and protect her. Also, the religion of balance. So let me not forget the male energies in life

13 Goals of a Witch
I. Know yourself
II. Know your craft (Wicca)
III. Learn
IV. Apply knowledge with wisdom
V. Achieve balance
VI. Keep your words in good order
VII. Keep your thoughts in good order
VIII. Celebrate life
IX. Attune with the cycles of the Earth
X. Breathe and eat correctly
XI. Excercise the body
XII. Meditate
XIII. Honor the Goddess and God

When we say God and Goddess, we mean those energies in the universe and beyond. God/dess isn't in nature, it IS nature. Naming those engeries and spirits that we feel, is simply connecting with them, not limiting them.

The pentacle. A much feared symbol, but vastly misunderstood as well. It is a simple design. The top point symbolizes 'Spirit'. This is the All and Divine. Every energy, inside you and out. Earth, Air, Fire, and Water are the following points. Water is emotion and intuition, a vital part of exsistance. Fire is courage, desire, passion, heat. Another vital part of the world. Air is intelligence and arts. Part of the next component of life. Earth is stability and physical endurance, the groud in which we live on, Mother Earth. And the circle is what ties us all together.
The pentagram, is NOT Wiccan. The star is upside down and represents something totally different. Do not be fooled.

Celebrate The Earth
Wicca is just simply honoring the earth, and taking care of it. Magick, is seeing what you want, attuning your mind, and doing whats in your powers to get it. It's like blowing out birthday candles. Preparing the cake and candles is like preparing the ritual, the excitement of the candles glowing in the cake and being brought to you, is like raising power. Deciding your wish, is creating a purpose/goal. Blowing out the candles is finalizing your wish. The only difference, is with Wicca, after you'd blow out the candles you do what you can to attain your goal. If you wished for a new car, you'll look at more newspapers, work more hours to get more money, do stuff like that to get what you had your mind set up for. Of course, a ritual has more to it. You'd thank the energies for guiding you, you'd say thanks for such an amazing gift--life. It would be deeper, too. It's amazing. Email me if you need more answers. |

Bide the Wiccan Laws we must
In Perfect Love and Perfect Trust.
Live and let live,Fairly take and fairly give.
Cast the Circle thrice about,
To keep the evil spirits out.
To bind the spell every time,
Let the spell be spake in rhyme.
Soft of eye and light of touch,
Speak little, listen much.
Deosil go by the waxing moon,
Chanting out the Witches' Rune.
Widdershins go by the waning moon,
Chanting out the baneful rune.
When the Lady's moon is new,
Kiss the hand to her, times two.
When the moon rides at her peak,
Then your heart's desire seek.
Heed the North wind's mighty gale,
Lock the door and drop the sail.
When the wind comes from the South,
Love will kiss thee on the mouth.
When the wind blows from the West,
Departed souls will have no rest.
When the wind blows from the East,
Expect the new and set the feast.
Nine woods in the cauldron go,
Burn them fast and burn them slow.
Elder be the Lady's tree,
Burn it not or cursed you'll be.
When the Wheel begins to turn,
Let the Beltane fires burn.
When the Wheel has turned to Yule,
Light the log and the Horned One rules.
Heed ye Flower, Bush and Tree,
By the Lady, blessed be.
Where the rippling waters go,
Cast a stone and truth you'll know.
When ye have a true need,
Hearken not to others' greed.
With a fool no season spend,
Lest ye be counted as his friend.
Merry meet and merry part,
Bright the cheeks and warm the heart.
Mind the Threefold Law you should,
Three times bad and three times good.
When misfortune is enow,
Wear the blue star on thy brow.
True in Love ever be,
Lest thy lover's false to thee.
Eight words the Wiccan Rede fulfill:
*An it harm none, do what ye will*
